Our country is in serious trouble financially. I have not heard a plan from either side about how to deal with this effectively. I think that email from Obama is seriously "deceptive," and geared for people who have no clue whatsoever. I want to see a clear plan presented to the American people by any candidate claiming they can be trusted to run the United States of America. A photo of money $$$ isn't going to do anything for me, and will certainly not persuade me to vote for any candidate. It should not persuade anyone to vote for this guy. In fact, it is quite manipulative, considering our country's financial strain. But, I suppose that's why they are using such a technique. This indicates that these candidates think we're pretty stupid...some are. (I also get Obama email...now we're suppose to send money to bail out his "arch rival?") I don't think so. |

Just received an email from the Obama Camp. This one has a dated "DEADLINE" for me to contribute!

"Show Your Support Before the June 30th Deadline" For $15.00 I can get a 6" bumper sticker. Yeah...I'm gonna' get right on that! Sounds more like a threat. Next his campaign will send me an email threatening to remove me if I don't give them some cashola $$$. |

Not a fan of Bush. We need good leadership, and a president with a solid plan. We must not "Stay the course," but we must not forget that protecting our country is a number one priority. We must have a permanent base in Iraq, as we do in many other parts of the world, to keep a close watch on Iran. Do you believe this is unecessary? Maybe we shouldn't keep an eye on North Korea either, and the nutty little man running it... Plutonium ring a bell for you? |

I think that having a base to "watch" them is not going to save us if they want to push the button. I think our number one priority should be making our country as great as we all would like to think it is and to stop being the "world's policeman" because we're the "bad cop"...corrupt and judgmental. |

We have to be the world's policemen...

for the following two reasons: 1. nobody else has the balls to stand up to the bullies and 2. the rest of the world talks a great game about how we're trying to dominate all these other countries and impose our beliefs on them and then these same nay-sayers expect US, the U S of A to come save their arses when they get into trouble themselves. Having bases in Europe did deter the Communists of Russia who occupied East Germany not to advance into West Germany (thank heavens too, otherwise my dad, a tank commander stationed in Hessen would never have met my mom, a hot German chick, and, well, me and the siblings wouldn't exist). Another deterrent: Hiroshima and Nagasaki...yep, I said it. We are the only country on this great planet to have developed nuclear weapons and DEPLOYED them during a war. You think that doesn't cross the minds of those nut job dictators?? I guarantee your sweet bippy it does... Withdrawing our troops and developing a series of permanent bases in Iraq would help in the stabilization of the country while the Iraqi's build their democracy and continue a presence so Iran and it's buddy rogue nations don't pull a Saddam and invade their neighbors. Plus it's close enough to Turkey to help them feel a little safer. |
