Silly Democrats....tricks are for kids....

Over the past two elections mainly (the only two that I really remember having a interest in) a surprising trend has appeared in Democratic candidates. They really don't have a platform to run on, not only that, they don't have much substance to their platform. Both Kerry and now Obama the two winners of the Democratic nomination party slogans should have been "I'm not like that guy." Kerry ran a whole campaign on the fact that he wasn't Bush, didn't really have a plan or a message. Now Obama has a campaign that runs on the same slogan only he says that he isn't like the other guys in Washington....

The Democratic party needs to realize that it is all nice and well that their only points they make is to show us what they aren't....but sometimes they need to tell us what they stand for....

Watching Bill O'Reilly talk to the Democrats reminds me of two little kids....all they want to do is point fingers...you bring up a point about them....the first words out of their mouth in response is...."well the Republicans did this...." Always ready to point the blame away from themselves.

To me, the people that buy into the candidates messages of being different are like a movie I saw once...The speaker on a platform was up leading everyone in chanting, we are all different and all unique...then some old man in the back yells out I'm not!

How many candidates claim to be "different" no Kerry you are not like the other guy so therefore we will vote for you purely for that fact....No Obama you are definitely different just like all the other politicians claiming to be different....

What good does it do to have a platform, if it won't be followed?

Bush lied again and again about restoring integrity to the white house, having a humble foreign policy, size of government, etc

Those dems know ...under promise/over deliver...
Perfect Platform= Don't be like Bush. And bring home the troops.
Works for me, they get my vote.

Wow....SloBoz did you not just read the comment I made about instead of addressing the issue at hand you simply point the finger somewhere else....I hope that was a metaphor on making my point....but alas that probably wasn't the case and you feel rather foolish right now

Although I'm going with Obama, I have grown tired of his rhetoric where he uses the word "change" so often, but I think hopefully he's realizing and starting to address issues and ways to deal with them. He has got to transition from being a rock star to a nominee. I do think there needs to be more substance.
It seems to me that McCain is doing his fair share of "I'm not like Bush" rhetoric, but he can't be quite as brash about it, being of the same party as Bush. And the fact is, he is much more like Bush, which is about the only reason I need to vote for Obama.
