Project Homeless Connect--A Success Story

For those who take the time to click--it went extremely well. Here is the interesting part, good and bad, the first PHCs in both Billings and Missoula only had about 60 attendees. Bozeman's had 98! Hope everyone took the time to read the article--there were some interesting little facts there in.

For Bike Ryder, if you read this--did you come help out? The lady you judge every day was there--maybe you could offer to pick up the price on her script some day so she can get her meds. Being mentally ill is expensive--check out the script prices some day. Also, do you have any idea how hard it is to find housing around here without good credit and an income? Do know how hard it is to find a job when you suffer from serious mental illness? I would love your input--what is your solution to this?? Please come and help us out as we are really struggling with how to help this group of people.

For Berrymountain, hope you stopped by--it was a great day and we are getting some wonderful feedback. For everyone else interested--planning starts in August for the next PHC and the Continuum of Care is looking for new projects everyday if you have ideas. We are very interested in setting up transitional housing, which would be a huge benefit to our community.

I think what you are doing is commendable. I feel blessed that I am in a decent financial, etc. position in Bozeman, but many are not. That is why I have always volunteered and contributed in this community, not for personal accolades but because it is the right thing to do. It is a measure of how civilized we are as a society to help those less fortunate than ourselves. I am happy that there are many in our community who feel like I do.

Thank you so much for the positive comment. Living in the Valley gets harder everyday and so many are just a paycheck away. Glad to here that you help out--every little thing makes a difference:-)
