From another discussion in which I wrote ( 3 days ago) "I hope Brown is elected and does vote against Health Care.

It will shine more of a spotlight on the fact that the Legislature is being held hostage by the minority with the threat of a Filibuster. The Constitution has been subverted by the use of this tactic and most recently it has been the GOP doing the hostage taking.

You are against Health Care reform, that's fine. You want to punish Obama, again your prerogative.

I want to see a functioning Government. Currently we have anything but.

Ah, Rol-lypoly,

I know bitterness when I see it. You don't need to display it for me.

The last flush has been made. The lid closed. The bolts removed and the porcelain seat(throne as Kennedy saw it)is being removed along with the stench of hypocrisy, corruption and deceit that emanated from the man who once sat there and rumbled. Now that the ancient plumbing is removed, the seat of the people will replace it.

Look, I am not thrilled with most of the Republicans either. I would like to see change, but not this type of change. I believe in the importance of the Constitution, the framework of our country. They are precious gifts which cost precious lives. I believe in the people over the government, not the other way around. I believe that capitalism with a modicum of regulation has and can be the most successful system financially. I believe good fiscal health can help all of mankind.

I believe most people want to do good. I believe they want what is best for others and the environment. Science without the influence politics or money. Rational and reasoned inquiry and response. Free and open debate. Let's hear from the dissenting voices in the debate on global warming. If they are not correct the truth shall turn them out. Let's move forward with caution not propagandized doomsday predictions, lest we do more harm than good.

Let's not commercialize our environmental efforts subjugating them to fads and trends, the transient whims of popularity.

Let's do the same with health care reform. Bills unread or unreadable. Language written to deceive or simply misstated and misleading due to improper wording. Let's proceed with caution, lest we do more harm than good.

Thanks. 5 Stars and I agree with just about all you wrote.

Climate change does demand that we investigate seriously the harm that could befall us. More importantly (and I have written this before) we need to move away from fossil fuels that are imported from countries that wish us harm. Gasoline prices are moving up while demand remains stagnant because the oil producers have cut production.

The Health Care debate has been a sham. The current bill is not what I wanted but is the result of both parties refusing to face reality and being unwilling to seriously discuss ALL the issues.

Anyway, in all seriousness, to plagiarize your favorite ending,
