When you think you're having a bad day...

and you don't think things could get any worse, remind yourself that somewhere in the city of San Francisco is a man named "Mr. Pelosi".

It could be worse than that byArt6 months ago (7 votes) (report abuse) (reply)
Or you could be Elizabeth, John Edward's wife. Is this "new daddy" a sleaze or what?

Queen Elizabeth?
Or you could be... bybozemanista6 months ago (8 votes) (report abuse) (reply)
Mrs. Mike Duvall (wife of Republican family values guy in California whose "graphic sex bragging" about multiple affairs was caught on tape.)

or...

Mrs. Paul Stanley (wife of former Tennessee Republican who had an affair with his 22-year-old intern.)

or...

Mrs. Mark Sanford (Republican, South Carolina).

or...

Mrs. John Ensign (Republican, Nevada)

or...

Mrs. Larry Craig (Republican, Idaho).

or...

the spouse of any of an alarming number of Republicans arrested in the last two years for child pornography.

As frightening as it is, there may be a few things worse than being married to Nancy Pelosi.

A REAL QUAKE!
Not limited to any one party byArt6 months ago (7 votes) (report abuse) (reply)
Well, I may take more exception to Edwards because I'm more aligned with his party and his views. So maybe I held him to a higher standard. But there are sleazes on both sides of the aisle, obviously. It's not a party thing. It's the size of the ego.

I ran for the State chimpion chip and it rained outside. And now I am ready to wet the dew on the lily. Are you new to these parts? What are you doing in town? What part of town are you living?
You're right, Art... byEd.6 months ago (6 votes) (report abuse) (reply)
But someone HAD to make it a D v R thing.
RE: You're right, Art... byChicken Dena6 months ago (6 votes) (report abuse)
you're kidding right? I have been on here long enough to know that YOU were the one doing that. And you would be a lot better person to just admit it.

/ Bozmanista has a valid point. While I would not want to be Mr Pelosi, I wouldn't want to be any of the folks she listed either.
RE: You're right, Art... byEd.6 months ago (8 votes) (report abuse)
I originated the post, with the intent of injecting some lighthearted humor. If you choose to read something else into it, that's your failing. Yes, BM has a valid point. As Art said, there are plenty of examples available for both sides. That was not the point. I'm sorry you cannot take it any other way.
RE: You're right, Art... byChicken Dena6 months ago (4 votes) (report abuse)
Riiight, Ed. If that is what makes you feel better, you keep telling yourself that.

Rhetorical question for ya, if there are so many choices from both sides, then why pick Pelosi? I think Edwards or Ensign would have been the better choice for current event scandal humor.

Caveat:
I thought Pelosi was a bad choice from the get go, but at least there aren't any child molestation charges, infidelity accusations, or inappropriate sex acts coming out about her.... yet.
RE: You're right, Art... byEd.6 months ago (2 votes) (report abuse)
YOU are the one who brought scandal into the discussion. That was NEVER my intent. If it were, I might have chosen someone to whom the term scandal applied.
pelosi bywrench6 months ago (4 votes) (report abuse) (reply)
I for one can't stand to look at her smug face and i don't like her politics either.
Without a doubt, politicians from both sides have skeletons in the closet.

But think about it ,our representatives find themselves in an environment where they have power and access to money which I'm sure would be a pretty heady thing.

I have to wonder how many of us out here in the "real " world would be able to resist those same temptations.Unfortunately, many politicians have gone to congress with the best intensions and eventually end up just as corrupt as those they campained against IMHO.

So what is the solution? I would say that perhaps the peoples representatives should only serve one or two terms. Ideas anyone?
