Okay, so here's a website, and an article that to me seems to ask the questions any reasonable person might ask about Islam, and it addresses the fears that many Americans have concerning the practice of Islam in America. It does not seem accusatory to me. It seems pretty straightforward about the questions and concerns many Americans have. (For some reason I can't paste the link in - but if you type "Citizen Warrior - A Message to Peaceful Muslims" in your search engine, you should be able to find it).
My latest post was ELIMINATED. It did not contain any profanity. It contained a reference to a website which people are free to go take a look or not. A website that also did not contain any profanities, just thoughtful and fair questions, concerns and discussions. Is censorship part of the "hope and change" we can expect to see in a "new" America? I hope not. I am pleading with the Chronicle to BE FAIR and OPEN-MINDED.

Can someone please answer this question for me? I have never been an employee of the city of Bozeman so it is possible that employee policy allows for such activity. Why has our fire chief and those above him turn a blind eye to one of our fire fighters calling in sick for weeks now and spending that time working his “primary job” landscaping? Does this leave our department understaffed or cause overtime to be paid by us? Is everyone allowed to do this in all city departments? Is this person of so little use to the fire department that his absence isn’t notices? Or does he simply have our current assistant manager in his pocket? Someone please enlighten me. All this confusion is making me ill and I know my boss won’t stand for me calling in sick to go fishing.

Hi all, I'm appealing to the community here because I will soon be moving out of town and I need a good property management company to manage my townhouse while I'm out of town. I've already got renters moved in and I basically just need someone to collect rent and handle any emergencies that might come up while I'm gone. I'll be in Portland, OR, so it will be a little tough for me to be a landlord from that far away and I don't really want to rely on my friends to manage it for me. I've heard so many people complain about property management companies in this town both as renters and as owners, I just don't know who to go with. Does anybody have any good suggestions or companies that you've worked with who have been good and reliable?

This article made my jaw drop this morning. Denny Rehberg and his Wife are suing the city of Billings and the Billings fire dept. for what they say was breach of duty in 2008 during a wildfire that "burned property and equipment."
"The Plaintiff, Rehberg Ranch LLC, is accusing the Billings Fire Department of breaching its duty of care during a wild-fire that burned more than 1,100 acres in the subdivision in July of 2008. According to court documents, the plaintiff said the Billings Fire Department negligently or intentionally left the fire scene without notification- leaving the plaintiff and adjacent homeowners vulnerable to catastrophic damage. Court Documents state the fire caused irreparable damage-scorching trees and ground-cover on a large section of land intended for development. Another twist in my run in the the BPD. I called the police to ask for the return of one of the pistols since it didn't come up stolen and I wasn't charged with any crime related to it. I was told on the phone that the pistol was going to be hold until I could come up to the station with proof of purchase, and it didn't matter that I wasn't being charged with anything they would hold it until that point. The officer then asked where I had bought the gun, I told him the name of the store, he stated, "I called that store and they have no record of you buying that gun, the only records they have are of you buying a different gun. So I would like to see you try to go down and find a record that I couldn't. Now are you lying to me, and will I really see you at 5pm?" I told him I wasn't lying and yes he would see me at 5pm, current time was 3pm. Needless to say I called the gun stored gave them the required information and with in 45 minutes they had produced the gun record,...
As some of you know, we've been having problems with posts disappearing and being reclassified as "drafts," even though they have already been live on the site for a while and received comments. We called the software designers today for an explanation. They have told us that the problem stems from some tweaks they made over the last couple weeks for a similar site belonging to another newspaper in our chain. The designer said in the e-mail that those adjustments apparently went too far. What was happening was that when a post received several low ratings -- say three one-star ratings -- it was flagged for moderation and unpublished. This should be keying in on "inappropriate" ratings -- abuse flags. For some reason, it was working on low ratings instead. The response: "We'll be rolling out a fix for that this weekend." Hopefully, this means that the disappearing post problem should abate by next week.

I have always wondered if you are really innocent until proven guilty. In our fair town I would beg to counter, let me enlighten you. Recently I was pulled over for speeding, and after given a citation for speeding and what not the officer asked me if I had any weapons in the car, I answered I did, I had 2 pistols, since I had just gone shooting in the past day or so. Instantly his demeanor change and he ordered me out of the vehicle and to the front of my car. He then asked where the guns where and I answered in the console, he then opened the door and started removing the guns. When I told him I didn't agree to allow him search the car, he told me that I had already given him permission to, which I denied. He ordered me not to move from the front of the car, until he had removed them, he then ordered me back into the vehicle and took the guns back to his motorcycle and began running the serial numbers on them. I'm beggining to wonder if BP, or the administration are interested in dealing with the mess in the Gulf, The article below states that 13 other countries have offered to help with this disaster using state of the art eqipment, which the US does not posses. So far no takers; why? I also think that there is a bigger problem with this well, as BP has a cap in place on the well , but are still allowing it to release or vent oil; why? The answer may be the bigger problem, and that is that the integrity of the well has been compromised below the ocean floor. If the well cap in place is closed off entirely it will add pressure to any breach below the ocean floor, and possibly a catastrophe far beyond what they have to deal with now. I think it is past time for the gov. and BP to come clean with the American people, and inject the truth into the debate (no pun intended).

I'd like to call a moratorium on the political bickering here for a few minutes in order to request that we all come together on something. I'd like to ask you all to do whatever you feel comfortable with — be it praying, meditating, visualizing, or just keeping your fingers crossed — for some sunny days in Bozeman in place of the rain the 5-day forecast shows for the next several days.
The lilacs are about half ready to pop and the annual blooming of the lilacs is one of my favorite times of year in Bozeman. Their beauty and the faint scent of lilac that permeates our town makes me so happy. It signals that spring has truly arrived here and there may even be a decent summer. (It's also a sign that my seasonal allergies are about to end.)
So please, send your good vibes to the powers that be in the hope that we'll get some sunshine this week and a spectacular lilac bloom.
